Sunday Morning Studies

Measured by Grace

In the Bible, you'll find no lack of sinfulness, shortcomings, rejections, and broken people. People like Joseph, Rahab, David, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, The Samaritan Woman, Peter, and Paul. Yet, we don't think of these people as failures. Rather, we see them as people God transformed, turning their lack into faithfulness for His good.

Join Pastor Meehan as we study eight biblical figures to see that God does the same for you. He takes what you or society perceives as failure and transforms you for His plan. God does not judge based on earthly standards. No blunder is too big for him. No mess-up is beyond repair. His goodness goes beyond and turns your missteps into miracles. This new class begins Sunday, May 19 in the Library and will run throughout the summer. Books are available for purchase.

Midweek Studies

Exodus

2nd and 4th Wednesday Mornings, 10:00-11:30 a.m.

The Midweek Bible Study group will be studying the book of Exodus. Some people think of God as remote and uninvolved in the affairs of this world. But Exodus shows God intimately involved in the lives of His people and powerfully directing the course of history. Join us in this study of one of the most famous books of the Bible. For more information on this class, please call the Church Office.

All are welcome to attend, learn, and enjoy!  Questions?  Please contact the Church Office (office@sjlc.com or 703-971-2210).
